Dixie D'Amelio Releases New Music Video with Wiz Khalifa – Teen Blurb

Born August 12th, 2001, Dixie Jane D’Ameilio is an American social media personality known for her videos on the social media platform TikTok. D’Amelio is the older of the D’Amelio sisters comprising Dixie and Charli. In 2020, she featured in the YouTube web series Attaway General which was a big hit.

Dixie’s career began after her sister Charli gained popularity on the video platform TikTok. She is the 7th most-followed person on TikTok at the moment. In January 2020, Dixie D’Amelio signed with United Talent Agency. In May 2020, she and her sister announced a new podcast deal with Ramble Podcast Network. The deal will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their lives and specific topics on their minds.

On June 26, 2020, D’Amelio released her first single, Be happy. As of November 18, the song accumulated more than 55.6 million streams on Spotify. In August she signed a record deal with label HitCo Entertainment.

According to the Forbes report of August 2020, D’Amelio earned $2.9 million in the last year through June from her numerous sponsorship deals and merchandise, making her the third highest-earning TikToker.

While her first ‘Be Happy’ was met with general acclaim among her fans, her subsequent song ‘One Day’ was instantly met with criticism among TikTokers, with many slamming the star for her lyrics and singing ability.

The slander was so bad that Dixie had to take down the teaser to the song two days before its release date. The TikTok star has since gotten over the scandal as she released the official song on December 4th. The music video already has over 450,000 views just on the first day of release.

Dixie appears to have gotten over the harsh criticisms too. She even uploaded satirical TikTok where she feigned crying as a duet to a user who mocked those currently criticizing the song.

The release comes just days after the superstar made her debut on the Forbes 30 under 30 lists for 2021 alongside her sister Charli who is currently bearing the brunt over her comical statement regarding her 100M followers feat.
