Jimmy Donaldson was born on May 7, 1998. He is commonly known by his online alias, MrBeast. He is an American YouTuber notable for his expensive stunts and philanthropy.

He has been credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos on expensive stunts. He is also the co-creator of Team Trees, a fundraiser for the Arbor Day Foundation, which has raised over $22 million. Mr. Beast started posting videos on YouTube in 2011 at age 1 under the handle “MrBeast6000”. His early content ranged from Let’s Plays to “videos estimating the wealth of other YouTubers”.

These contents did not however fetch him many views. In fact, he only managed to average just over a thousand views. In 2017 however, his video, counting to 100,000 earned him tens of thousands of views in just days.

Mr. Beast has 47.3 million subscribers on YouTube as of December 2020. He is managed by the Dallas-based talent management company Night Media.
