Blevins began streaming by participating in several esports teams in competitive play for Halo 3 in 2016. His journey to fame began in a gradual speeding up fashion when he first started playing Fortnite Battle Royale late in 2017.
He partnered with Red Bull Esports in June 2018. The star held a special Fortnite event, the Red Bull Rise Till Dawn in Chicago on July 21, 2018, where players could challenge him.
On August 1, 2019, Blevins left Twitch to stream exclusively on Microsoft’s Mixer platform. His wife and manager Jessica told The Verge that the contract with Twitch had limited his ability to grow his brand outside of video gaming. She added that because of the state of Twitch’s community, “it seemed like he was kind of losing himself and his love for streaming.”
His rise to the mainstream media began in March 2018 when he played Fortnite together with Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster on stream. He broke the peak viewer count on Twitch in the process.
Due to the shutdown of Mixer in July 2020, Blevins was released from his exclusivity deal. This enabled him to stream on other platforms. On September 10, 2020, Blevins revealed that he had signed an exclusive multiyear deal with Twitch. He also streamed on the platform the same day.
Blevins has over 16 million followers and is the most-followed Twitch channel as of December 2020.
Ninja’s Net Worth
Ninja’s net worth is estimated to be approximately $25 million (that’s just over £22 million), according to Celebrity Net Worth. This takes into account his revenue from streaming, his YouTube channel, merch sales, and his various sponsorship deals.

Reports suggest that Ninja’s exclusivity deal with Mixer was worth upwards of 20 million dollars, and Forbes suggests he earned $17 million in total during 2019. Combined with his other revenue, his net worth could be even higher.
In addition to a large number of subscribers on Twitch and Mixer, Blevins has over 24 million subscribers on YouTube as of December 2020. At the time, he was earning over $500,000 per month from streaming Fortnite and credits the game’s free-to-play business model as a growth factor.
