Sodapoppin makes his money mainly from streaming on his social media channels. This probably explains why the star was unhappy when he realized he made a profit from his merchandise sales which were meant to be a non-profit venture.

Why Is Sodapoppin Upset For Making Profit From His Merchandise?

According to the star, his fans are the ones who made his Merchandise. Instead of capitalizing on the merch sales to maximize profit, the star decided to do a noble deed. TommyInnit is selling the shirts to only cover production costs and nothing more. This explains why the star was a little bit rustled when he discovered that some of his fans paid the full amount for the shirts produced. The star realized soon after he discovered a $10,000 cash overflow when carrying out his checks and balances.

In a video, he explained that the shirts he sold in the store were fully cotton but very cheap. He said “the merch store, there is no profit in it. It’s simply just very cheap shirts. But they’re 100% cotton.” He also said, “it’s not like they’re cheap shirts, it’s just that my profit is taken out, I get nothing from it.”

The problem first ensued when a certain Malena made a video to promote the shirts. Unaware of the promo code that allowed customers to get the shirts at a cheaper rate. “But Malena made this video, and she didn’t know about the discount code. I made like ten grand on people not knowing about the discount code. And I’m pissed about it.”

While this was not how he saw the sales going off, his intentions are clear and fans will still appreciate the kind gesture, although Sodapoppin isn’t too happy about the mix-up.
