At the moment, we have so many social media celebrities and influencers who have made their money from various platforms on the social space. There are several funds and payment systems put in place now to ensure a fairly comfortable life for a social media influencer.
This new development has helped expand the horizon of the social space from being just a place for having fun, to a serious workplace for those who have made social media a full or part-time career. It is in fact easier to make a career out of social media these days than in the past decade.
One of the ways creators get paid on the social space is via the creator fund. What is the creator fund and how does it work? How much does the creator fund pay creators? These are just a few of the numerous questions we’ll be answering in this article.
What Is The Creator Fund?
The creator fund is a system set up where creators receive funds based on a variety of factors from their videos. The fund has been created to reward content creators for their creativity.
The platform aims for all creators to make money doing what they love. It aims for creators to turn their passion into a meaningful means of livelihood.

There is no fixed amount of people who can benefit from the creator fund. That means anyone can have access to the funds at any given time, so far as they meet the requirements.
How Are The Funds Calculated And How Much Are TikTikers Making From The Fund?
The funds are computed based on some factors. The factors include; the number of views and the authenticity of those views, level of engagement on content, and making sure the content is in line with Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
There is no fixed amount made by creators from the fund. The Creator Fund total varies daily and is dependent on the number of videos published per day.
Due to the Terms and Conditions on user disclosure signed between the parties, it is not yet clear how much each person makes per video. But a few creators have weighed in on the program. While others believe the funds have helped them settle bills and get a more stable life, other creators have lamented that the funds are not yet sufficient.
How Do You Enroll For This Fund?
At the start, the program planned to distribute $200 million to users over the age of 18, with a minimum of 10K followers, who’ve amassed a minimum of 10K views in the last 30 days. After enthusiasm from users, TikTok promised to grow the fund to over $1 billion, to be paid out over the next three years.
To join, all you have to do is switch your account to Pro in Settings, then tap Apply in the Creator Fund section in the new Creator setting. If you don’t qualify, the featured will be grayed out.
