The series is an American streaming television drama series created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. The series is based on Julia Quinn’s novels and centers on the Bridgerton family. The series made its debut on Netflix on Christmas day, December 25th, 2020.

Main Cast And Characters

The series focuses mainly on the Bridgerton family. The main cast of the series includes Adjoa Andoh who stars s Lady Danbury. She comes off as a sharp-tongued, insightful doyenne of London society. Jonathan Bailey plays the role of Viscount Bridgerton, the eldest Bridgerton son. The role of Daphne Bridgerton was played by Phoebe Dynevor in the series. Daphne is the fourth Bridgerton child and eldest daughter.

The list goes on for as many other stars that were on screen for the very first season of the period drama series.

How Is The Series Taking Over Netflix?

Upon its release, the movie was met with positive reviews. The series has recorded a viewership of 82 million in just under a month of its premiere. The eight-episode first season has been recognized as the most-watched series on Netflix so far. Due to the warm reception and the promising future envisaged, the series was renewed for a second season in January 2021.
