This Young Entrepreneur Is Using Social Media To Drive Sales – Teen Blurb

Meet: Stephanie Sara, the 13-year-old entrepreneur behind “Butterfly Girl By Steph.” Sara first started selling tie-dye shirts and then got into jewelry making. Since then, her business instantly started growing and becoming more successful.

We wanted to learn more about Stephanie and her story. Here’s what she had to say:

Cox: How did the idea for your business come about?

Sara: At first, I started selling tie-dye shirts. I sold them for 3 months. Then I got into jewelry making and from there my business started growing and becoming more successful.

Cox: Why is your business unique?

Sara: I like to make things that you usually don’t see being sold. I like to think out of the box and create something different. For example, I sell mask earrings that are available in blue, white, and pink.

Cox: What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?

Sara: Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to own a business in the future. I am working for myself and my future. The money I make will go towards college and my future.

Cox: How did you build a successful customer base?

Sara: I started up my Instagram account for my business in June 2020. It is now September and I have 5.5k+ followers. Ever since my Instagram started growing, I started getting more sales and more amazing customers.

Cox: What has been your favorite moment in business?

Sara: My favorite moment in business is when I hit 150 sales on etsy. It felt so surreal especially since I had just started my Etsy in mid July 2020. It made me feel so proud and I am so happy so many people like my products.
