Meet This 13-Year-Old Chef Going Viral On Tik Tok – Teen Blurb

Meet: Eva Bess, best known as Eatinwitheva on social media. Eva is a 13-year-old chef crushing in on Tik Tok. When she was about 3 years old, she loved to watch her mom in the kitchen and the rest was history. As of September of 2020 Eva has amassed over 25,000 followers across all her social medias.

We wanted to dive deeper into Eva and her story, here’s what she had to say:

Cox: How did you get started cooking?

Bess: Two years ago my dad had a stroke. He would take care of us each night. My mom was working full time because my dad couldn’t work anymore. There was nobody home now to make dinners for us so I stepped up and took the responsibility of cooking dinner every night. I started off with simple meals and as time went on, I started creating more complex dishes.

Cox: When did you decide to make a Tik Tok to share your recipes with the world?

Bess: Fast forward to 2020 and the quarantine, my mom was now home with me due to COVID-19 and we were cooking all the time. This is where Eatin With Eva was born.

Cox: Why did you want to become an influencer?

Bess: I wanted to inspire others through my cooking and that age is just a number. You can achieve anything you want to at any age with hard work and perseverance.

Cox: Why is your content unique?

Bess: I have unique content, I feel, because I can do from creating very simple and fun foods to very complex dishes. I also like to do special “series”, for example… America Eats with Eva or Create Your Favorite Disney Movie Meal. My followers love when I do a series!

Cox: What led to the success of your influencer career?

Bess: Hard work in the kitchen, interesting and fun recipes, enticing giveaways and contests, and connecting to my followers one on one.

Cox: What are your goals for the future?

Bess: Growing all of my social media platforms, working on potential TV opportunities, writing a teen cook book, and while doing all of this, graduating high school and going to the Culinary Institute of America to fine tune my skills as a Master Chef.

Cox: What is your favorite part of being an influencer?

Bess: Connecting with my followers, cooking of course, and meeting amazing people along the way.

Cox: What is your least part of being an influencer?

Bess: Cooking is very hard work. Sometimes it can be quite grueling in the hot kitchen.
