Moriah Rose Pereira is popularly known as Poppy, and formerly as That Poppy. She is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and YouTube star. She was born on the 1st of January 1995.

The pop singer was born in Boston, Massachusetts but grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. The star wanted to be a Rockette which is an American dance company that was founded in 1925. She grew up dancing and did so for 11 years. She was bullied in school for being skinny and quiet which led to her being homeschooled.

The star began her music career in 2011. She created two YouTube channels, Moriah Poppy which she later deleted, and Poppy, which is her current channel. She performed at social media festivals some of which include VidCon which was held in June 2012 and DigiTour which was held in June of 2013.

The star then moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to pursue her career in music. She made a series of promotional videos which she posted on her YouTube channel Poppy. The channel however became constantly active in January of 2021 via video uploads which gained a lot of attention. She then signed to Island Records under the name That Poppy in 2015 and released her debut song ‘Everybody Wants To Be Poppy’.

The popular music star then performed at the Corona Capital Festival in November of that same year. She released her song, Lowlife a month after her debut song. The star also released her first EP, a four-track pop record called Bubblebath in February 2016. She released a series of advertisements for the shoe company Steve Madden in August of 2016 on her channel as part of its Steve Madden music program. In 2017, she starred in a series of videos for comedy central called Internet Famous with Poppy. They later won a Streamy award that year in the category, Breakthrough artist.
