Q. How did the idea for the business of Harnoor come about?
Harnoor: For me, YouTube was never a business, it was just a way for me to get a voice and to help out students. It started just to help out students that I saw needed guidance to study abroad. Now, as people say, it’s a business. I never had a motive to make a significant amount of money from it. My goal was just to give the content people want and therefore I never had to promote it and it expanded on its own.
Q. What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?
Harnoor: My driving force is to make what people want and continue doing for life and you will never have to worry about reaching out to people as more people will reach out to you instead.
Q. How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?
Harnoor: Inspired by Tesla, I think a good business doesn’t need much marketing, we should always believe in making stuff that people want with proper research and strategy.
Q. What motivates you?
Harnoor: I actually feel lucky to be in an industry that I truly enjoy working in. Also, I get bored of doing one kind of job at a time such as Software Engineering or YouTuber. So, I love the ability to get the flexibility to both depending on my mood.
Q. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Harnoor: My most satisfying moment for me has been reading comments, emails, or Instagram DMs of my subscribers who share that I somehow made their journey easier to achieve their dream, it could be dream college, their dream of buying a MacBook, or anything.
