Q. “What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that Chastin loves?”
Chastin: An absurd thing that I love is going to casinos. I don’t even need to gamble or anything. I just like going and hanging out. I like the energy of people, especially when they’re winning. I love the food, the atmosphere, and mostly the architecture around casinos. I’ve even watched documentaries about casinos. It’s all so fascinating to me and I love it.
Q. “In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?”
Chastin: In the last five years a new belief that has really changed my behavior is knowing that our mind controls everything. I believe that what we think controls what we do, how we feel, and changes we make in our life. When I started to believe this more and more, I started to train and use my mind in a different way. This helped me in life and business tremendously.
Q. “What advice would you give to a smart, driven college student about to enter the “real world”? What advice should they ignore?”
Chastin: If you’re smart and driven, that’s half the battle. My advice would be to find your passion and don’t chase money. Money will chase you as long as you are passionate about what you’re doing. There’s a lot of money to be made in the world so there’s no use in doing something you don’t like or care for just to make money. You should also ignore advice from people who haven’t been where you want to go.

Q. “What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession or area of expertise?”
Chastin: In my profession, I hear people say all the time that you need to spend money to make money. Sometimes that’s true but most times it’s not. It can be easier to spend money to make more money, but you don’t need to spend money to become successful. I don’t even believe you need a secondary education to become successful but that’s just my opinion. If you work hard and are consistent, you will make money and you will enjoy the journey a lot more.
Q. “When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do? (If helpful: What questions do you ask yourself?)”
Chastin: When I feel unfocused, I go on a trip. I know that sounds crazy but sometimes you need to reset to regain focus. When you change your surroundings and state of mind, your energy shifts and you begin to attract motivation and creativity and even new ideas. Once I get back home, I feel focused, refreshed, and ready to take massive action.
